I think I had a test today for the "Self Sufficiency 101" course. We had two hens (Whitey and Steve) who we thought had arthritis, but when we talked to the breeder, we found out that they had marek, a disease where they get worse and worse and eventually die. He said we really should put them down.
OK.
Well, I decided I would do it, and it was not so bad. Some quick axe work and they were released from this life. I committed them back to the earth from which they came. Not really nice work, but glad to have done it. Lizzi is proud of me, and I think I passed the test. Its funny, so many people eat meat, but don't like to think of the reality of animals dying. Me, I would rather eat meat that I know was once happy and well looked after, and killed quickly and well.

you mean meat comes from animals. I thought it came from the super market.
freaky bro.
I have also discovered that milk comes from cows. Strange. Mush have a chat to you about more creation theology someday, its on my mind a lot more these days...
Rumour has it that if you feed milks chocolate, they make chocolate milk. Any truth to that or is it a vicious rumour?
That was supposed to be cows that you feed chocolate to make chocolate milk. It also works for bananas and strawberries too.
These radical theologists!
it warms my heart to see you blogging again... is it a sign lizzi's health is much better... i on the other hand have allowed my blog to hibernate...but im sure the time will come again for me to relinquish my relationship with it
